Under the overall supervision of the Officer in Charge (O.I.C.) FAO Somalia and the direct supervision of the Data Systems & Information Manager, the Data Entry Clerk will focus on the following areas and tasks:
Act as principal data entry clerk for all FSNAU data collected in the field by performing the following duties;

• Receiving, cleaning, entering all Food Security and Nutrition data sets from the field according to FSNAU priorities

• Cleaning/ checking all data entered against hard copies files

• Maintain a ‘received data’ log of what data are received and not received

• Keep the Technical team updated on status of received/not-received data

• Work in close contact with relevant Analysts reporting on data quality and progress on data entry

• Supervision of short term data entry assistance during high demand times

• Assist in development of data management process and data flow procedures ensuring hard copy, soft copy, and metadata management systems are effective

• Archiving/ scanning of all hard copy forms including development of storage folders with appropriate names

• Meta-dating all FSNAU, partner organization, and any peripheral information (soft and hard copy)

• Following guidance of Analysts convert files to appropriate formats as needed

• Research and collect information from websites and other sources as needed to fill in data gaps under the guidance of the Data Systems Manager

• Act as the principal liaison person for FSNAU products including printing and maintenance of all reports, publications, etc.

• Assist in document binding and finishing

• Any other duty as assigned

Education:

• Diploma or relevant information system training.

Work Experience:

• Experience in projects involving information system (database, web, network administration, system management, etc)

• Expert knowledge of computers both hardware and software specifically Epi Info 2000, Epi6 and Epi Data Responsible and eager to work with a team and alone

Languages:

English & Somali

Grade: SC3
