The Consultant will give an input of two to three days (Not regular) and five days (full time) to the program.
Project Background:
The purpose of the training is to provide local non-governmental organizations with a general knowledge and skillset to produce quality proposals that respond to procurement guidelines for international donor and United Nations procurement processes.
The training should include all components of a generic project proposal. Components could include: proposal narrative, budget, budget narrative, organizational history and operational capacity, logical frameworks and/or work plan charts, risk matrices, organizational charts, and other generic proposal components.
Attendees will come from a minimum of 5 local non-governmental organizations (LNGOs) from Puntland and South Central Somalia (maximum 30 students).
Qualifications:
• Must be fluent in English and local languages
• Must have a knowledge of proposal writing and experience of working with UN
• Must have experience in arrangement and conduction of training to development sector
• Must be self-oriented and results focused person
• Must have good competency on computer and online applications.
Expectations:
Coordinator Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Arrangement with Peace Hotel for training venue and accommodation.
flights for attendees (as per table below);
Lunch meal, refreshment and water available (through the hotel).
Receiving funds from the Hawala System/Bank and paying to hotel and other sources.
Print handouts before training start date
Distribution of Daily subsistence allowance at 25USD/day/person for attendees not from Mogadishu.
Translation and explanation of the training in local language to participants during five days of the training.
